Walk of Peace and Solders Story - Experience a Soldier’s Life and His Personal Battles

Explore the bunkers along the ridge peaks and enjoy views from the Alps to the Adriatic sea

More than a century ago, the First World War sharply cut into the area between the Alps and the Adriatic. On the southwestern battlefield, where the Isonzo Front was also fought, the Italian and Austro-Hungarian armies clashed fiercely for 29 months. The Soča Valley witnessed relentless battles, the stories of which still echo in its mountains today.

At the restored defensive positions, you will learn about the everyday life of military life and their personal battles through the stories of soldiers. While exploring the historical remains, you will be accompanied by stunning views of the Soča Valley, the Julian Alps and the expanse all the way to the Adriatic Sea. The experience takes you to the panoramic Mjni ridge, where history comes to life right on the border between Italy and Slovenia

Would you like to experience the intertwining of history and the natural beauty of the Soča Valley in an authentic location? Join us!
